Winning several championships along the way, this established motorcyclist has certainly made a name for himself in the extreme motor sports world. Home educated into high school and graduating when only 15, Pastrana the "Wonder Boy" went on to the 1999 X Games. While there not only did he win a gold medal, but he made sure that no one would forget just how extreme the X Games could be. Jumping into the San Francisco Bay with his Suzuki and taking the gold, although shockingly awesome, caused a bit of a problem. Ultimately all was good in the end when he used the $10,000 prize money to pay fines, get his bike out of the bay, and donated the rest to the charity Save the Bay.
Although sustaining many injuries like a multitude of concussions, spine dislocation, and various broken bones from the pelvis all the way to his feet, "Gimp" pressed on. Unable to let his extreme spirit be crushed, Travis went on to the 2006 X Games where yet again he made history and won his second X Games gold. For the first time ever in motocross competition history Pastrana landed a double back flip. When not out on his bike, Mr. Pastrana "relaxes" by enjoying hobbies like rally-car racing, base jumping, and sky diving. Fully driven and absolutely extreme, Travis Alan Pastrana is
the complete definition of a true action sports athlete.
