When it comes to flat ground skateboarding tricks, the 360 kickflip or "tre flip," is one of the most basic flip tricks. This manuever consists of a combination of a 360 pop shove it shuvit and a kick flip. If you are not familiar with skateboard terms this is when the board is popped in the air, spun 360 degrees under you, while also flipping 360 degrees. The tre flip was invented by Rodney Mullen, a famous skateboard legend. Rodney Mullen set the ground for flatground and street skating. He invented the flatground ollie, which is the most basic trick in street skateboarding.

The ollie is the origin of all flip tricks. Rodney Mullen also invented most of the flip tricks in skateboarding today. In street skateboarding there is a term called a "line". A line consists of several different tricks performed consistently after each other. In the skateboard world today, the tre flip is the most performed trick when it comes to performing lines.
