freestyle.ch Kicks Off MegaRamp Movement in Europe! All eyes are on Zurich for Europe’s biggest freestyle sports competition! The freestyle.ch 2011 unites the elite riders in the Freestyle disciplines of Snowboarding, Freeskiing, FMX, and Skateboarding. It also premieres the first ever Skateboard Big Air contest in Europe! A 9-metre takeoff, a 5.5-metre quarter-pipe and a total length of 53 metres - that monstrosity literally catapults the skateboarders into the air! In the Skateboard Qualification Adam Taylor (USA), Pierre-Luc Gagnon (CAN), Elliot Sloan (USA), Paul-Luc Ronchetti, Jussi Korhonen (GBR), Jake Brown (AUS), Sando Dias (BRA) and Rony Gomes (BRA) precede, with Adam Taylor winning it.

Relentless NASS Freestyle Open 2011 Highlights

The highlights of the first UK Freestyle competition held in over two years, returning again to NASS in Bath. It was an excellent competition and I had a great time recording this and hanging out with the others over the weekend. The edit's a bit on the long side, I just wanted to include as much footage as possible and there was so much extra stuff we filmed that I couldn't not show. Also, the music choice is a bit sketch, but if I agonised over the muic choices any longer it never would have been finished! Also, sorry it took so long to finish, moving house and upgrading my Mac delayed this greatly and I hope it's muchly enjoyed! Blue skies and sunshine are welcoming visitors of the freestyle.ch at Landiwiese this morning. While yesterday heavy rain showers forced the organizers to cancel the FMX and the skateboarding qualifications these contests can be held today. In order to fit the tight program the best 4 will directly qualify for the finals that will be held as planned. The winner is skateboard legend Sandro Dias (BRA), 2nd, Pierre-Luc Gagnon (CAN), 3rd Adam Taylor. With the 4th place also Jürgen Horrwarth will compete in the final tonight.

The 16th annual freestyle.ch Zurich was a hit despite the weather. 28,000 freestyle fans gathered at the Landiwiese to cheer on their freestyle superstars. The crowd&#xu2;019s favorite, Sandro Dias, dominated in skateboarding. The Brazilian impressed with a remarkable consistency, incredibly high airs and perfect alley oop 540°s. «My last win at freestyle.ch was back in 2008. The audience here always did such a good job of cheering me on, so I really wanted to finally win again this year. I was pretty nervous and decided lean on the side of caution &#xu2;013 and it went perfect, I'm on cloud nine!» says Dias. Runner-Up is Juergen Horrwarth (GER) and Adam Taylor (USA) finishes 3rd.
