About Andreas Hatveit
Andreas Hatveit is a freestyle skier from the small village of Sudndalen in the Norwegian mountains. Hatveit was born on July 9, 1986, and began skiing at the age of two. By the age of 17, he was freestyle skiing. At the 2008 Winter X Games XII in Aspen, Colorado, Andreas Hatveit took a gold medal in Ski Slopestyle and took 4th place in Super Pipe. Hatveit’s recent notable competitions include the 2007 World Skiing Invitational in Canada, where he placed 6th; the 2007 Nippon Freeski Open Niigata in Japan, where he placed 2nd; and the 2007 US Open in Colorado, where he placed 3rd. Hatveit also took the gold medal in the 2006 World Skiing Invitational in Canada and placed 1st at the 2005 Paul Mitchell Freeski Tour in Colorado.
Andreas Hatveit’s sponsorships include Rossi, Smith and Nike ACG. He has also made an appearance in numerous ski films. Look for him in the films Reasons, Rastafaride 7, Yeah Dude, and Rough Cut, among others.
