Backflips are an exhilarating and show-stopping trick and pulling one of on skis is one of the harder ways to do this, but it is possible.
To do a backflip on skis it is crucial that you find the right jump. This jump is going to need to launch you almost completely vertical. To get the air required to pull of this trick you are going to need to build up a good amount of speed.
As you approach the lip of the jump and the takeoff, tilt your head back skyward. As your skis leave the jump and enter the air, kick your feet up and over your head. Keep tilting your head back to maintain that back rotation.
After kicking your feet back, pull your knees into your chest--This will help you speed up your rotation. While tilting your head back, keep your eyes open and look for the ground. Spot your landing point and straighten out your body to land, while bending your knees to help absorb the impact of landing.
