Derek Spong is known as a prodigy in the skiing community, and rightly so. The pro skier is from Woodinville, and perhaps the most startling fact is that he is only fourteen years old. Even at this young age, Derek placed 2nd in the US Open Big Air, and 6th in slopestyle.

When asked to describe Derek Spong's style of skiing, many onlookers said that he was the most talented skier for his age that they had ever seen. This prodigy has a very bright future ahead of him, and even though he is only fourteen and currently building his reputation, those that have seen him ski have no qualms about declaring him the best fourteen year old skier, ever.
