About Jacob Wester

On November 17, 1987 Nils Jacob Victor Wester was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He'd later go by the name of Jacob Wester. Wester is a freeskier who began skiing when he was five years old. Both of his parents were athletic, his dad golfed and his mother was a downhill racer.

One of his biggest mentors is Jon Olsson who taught Wester how to ski and even surf. In 2005 Jacob Wester took second place in the Jon Olsson Invitational, a couple of months later he won the "Air We Go" while he was in Norway. He placed second at the US Open in 2007 and in 2009 he placed third at the Winter X Games. In his spare time he likes to ice skate, practice tattooing, play his guitar, write music, and he has his own blogging website. His favourite place to go skiing is in New Zealand and he currently lives with his girlfriend.
