About Tanner Rainville

Born in Vermont, October 2, 1985, Tanner Rainville is an acknowledged professional skier. Currently living in Squaw Valley, CA, he is five feet, seven inches tall and weighs approximately 150 lbs. He has been skiing and competing for over 10 years and recently placed fifth in the Tignes Airwaves competition in France. In 2004, he joined a group of elite skiers who film annually with Matchstick productions, displaying his skill and talent during competition and on camera. He is currently sponsored by several well known companies, such as Skullcandy, Electric, Under Armour, Dynastar Skis, and Level Gloves.

Some other prestigious competitions he has placed in are: US Open in Vail, CO (2004 and 2006); Vewrmont Freeski Open in Stratton, VT (2004 and 2007); and the World Skiing Invitational in Whistler, Canada (2004 and 2005. Tanner Rainville is most noted for pulling a hat trick at the Vermont Freeski Open in 2007, despite his history of chronic left shoulder injuries.
