Cheryl Maas is a Dutch professional snowboarder who was born in the Netherlands on September 28h, 1984. She started snowboarding on the dry slopes of her country when she was only 9 years old after emulating her brother who snowboarded at the time.

She then took advantage of her proximity to the plastic slopes in her country and proceeded to ride as much as possible and became sponsored at the young age of 11. She started riding the real slopes at age 16 and had by this time become an excellent snowboarder. She decided to become a professional snowboarder right after high school when she was contemplating what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.

Some of her sponsors gave her the financial backing to begin her professional career and since that time Cheryl Maas has made a name for herself as a professional snowboarder all over the world. She has won numerous competitions including the first women's TTR championship title in the 05/06 season. Chery Maas is currently sponsored by Nixon, Celtek, Vans, Nitro, Electric and Volcom.
