Freeride snowboarding is the most common style of snowboarding. This is probably due to the fact that any and every style is allowed under the freeride umbrella.

While freeriding, riders will use aerial tricks and jib, which means any object encountered is fair play in a freeride. In a freeride boarders may use tricks utilized in freestyle runs, or try some deep carve turns that are associated with alpine snowboarding.

Freeride snowboards are designed to be good at everything and excel at nothing. Given their versatile nature they are the highest selling style of snowboards. Freeride boards float well along powder and are still good at catching air.

Freeride boards are also good for all levels of boarders, from beginner to master. They are not as stiff as a carving board or as soft as a freestyle board, but the middle ground makes them good at both.
