Slopestyle is type of snowboarding where the participant selects a lane in a terrain park on which to compete. The course, or lane will have obstacles, both natural, and man-made. Any number of boxes, jumps, rails, and jibs can be located on the course for the rider to work with to perform tricks, and stunts as he or she descends.

In a slopestyle competition the competitors are judged on the difficulty of the individual course, how many of the obstacles that are provided are used, the tricks and stunts performed using the objects provided, style, etc.

Although this has not yet become an Olympic sport, it isn't from lack of trying. There are major world class corporate sponsored events held all over the globe, and by all accounting of wins as of late on the world wide arena, the United States would dominate the sport if there was.
