Her extreme need to compete in risky sports has made her a gold medallist snowboarder in the Winter X Games, Big Air, during the years 2000 and 2001. Tara Dakides was born on August 20, 1975 and was raised in Laguna Hills, California. She now resides in Mammoth Lakes, California.

Not only does her athletic ability sparkle, her impressive personality and beauty has landed her in several magazines such as Rolling Stone, Maxim, FHM and the cover of Sports Illustrated. At only 5'5" tall and with her long list of awards in several competitions, she's landed large sponsors such as Billabong, Vans, Von Zipper, Fusion Energy, Pro-tec Helmets and Mammoth Mountain. She's featured in video games, trading cards, clothing, snowboard boots and her own signature snowboard.
