Canadian TJ Schneider started snowboarding in 1994, and has been a professional for over 10 years. Born in Red Deer, Alberta on June 24, 1980, he currently lives in Vancouver and snowboards at
Whistler Blackcomb when not travelling the world competing. Impressing the snowboarding world with his tech rail tricks in the 2002 TWS Team Challenge at Snow Summit, TJ Schneider is famous for his longevity and buttery style, most recently winning the Grenade Games Pipe Event in April 2009 despite an early season injury. He rides a CAPiTA Mid Life Lost Board of his own design and uses a regular stance.
An artist, TJ Schneider sells his paintings and drawings online and designs T-shirts, snowboards and boots for his sponsors, which include CAPiTA Snowboards, Union Bindings, Bond Clothing, Bern Helmets, Defcon, Airblaster and Deeluxe. A regular summer coach at Whistler COC, TJ Schneider is also the first and only professional shredder to create a DIY web video series on being a pro snowboarder, shown on his blog, Snowboard Realms.
