Freesurfing is a fun and challenging activity. Mick Fanning is one of those surfers who made this technique popular. He can even make the style look fun on some very crappy waves. Of course being from the Gold Coast Fanning himself admits the waves there aren't very good at all. Fanning is a World Champion who has taken on the likes of Kelly Slater so of course he can handle the fast pace that you need to keep up to consider it freesurfing. People like Fanning and Slater have held clinics on how to fine tune yourself and stay in shape so you can look your best as you are out on your board.

The clinics on different techniques can be both for beginning, intermediate and semi-professional surfers. There are so many kids who happen to be unemployed who could become greatly inspired by what they see at surfing events. There are many people who could get involved in the surfing industry and freesurfing in particular because of these clinics.
