As long as surfing has been around, there are very few things that haven't been done on a surfboard, one of these, the rodeo clown flip, had never been performed in a competition, until recently. This was performed by board pro Pat Gadauskas in Sri Lanka to recieve a perfect 10.
This is reported to be one of the hardest maneuvers on a surfboard, and not for just any amateur, but this is a description of the trick here for those who wish to attempt this elusive maneuver.
The trick starts by approaching the wave from the beach side to gain as much air as you can, once in the air the surfer will perform a back-flip combined with a 540 degree twist, once successfully down the surfer then will complete the maneuver by turning the board another 180 degrees to continue on the face of the wave.
Considering the rarity of video on this maneuver, if you can learn to perform this, by all means, have a person on the beach with a camera, for posterity, and all the people who will say they can't believe you did it.
