Nixon welcomes John John Florence to the team

Nixon is pleased to announce Hawaii’s John John Florence as the newest addition to the Surf Team. In keeping with Nixon tradition and longstanding policy, all additions are only possible after a positive vote by the Nixon team. John John’s induction came after having been unanimously given the green light by Bruce Irons, Dusty Payne, Josh Kerr, Lisa Andersen, Dean Morrison, Rob Machado, Claire Bevilacqua, Keith Malloy, Nathan Fletcher and Mark Cunningham.

NIXON'S SURF CHALLENGE : 10 years of progressive surfing Since 2001, NIXON established a non conformist surf event driven by our team: The NIXON SURF CHALLENGE. While the guys are actually heading to Norway to surf the remote Lofoten islands and its frozen waters, this video retraces 10 years of progressive surfing through the eyes of our European team riders. The original competition was developed with Nixon's Surf Team in San Sebastian (EUK) with the the support of the local surfers and community. These events were focused on progressive surfing, overall performance and of course great fun! Enjoy the past but look to the future with the upcoming videos of the NIXON's 2011 SURF CHALLENGE in Norway from the 1st to the 3rd of April, 2011.

Nixon Surf Challenge 2008, San Sebastian, Spain

The 9th edition of the Nixon Surf Challenge went down in San Sebastian, Spain last weekend 19th-21st September, with Casey Brown from Hawaii taking out the event ahead of Eric Rebière (2nd place), Josh Kerr (3rd place) and Hira Terinatoofa (4th place) in the finals. With San Sebastian’s International Film Festival also happening the same weekend, the vibrant streets of Donostia were packed.

Nixon has announced the dates for the 8th Annual Nixon Surf Challenge, which will take place September 21-23, 2007 at Playa Zurriola in San Sebastian, Spain. The Nixon Surf Challenge draws in top talent from all over the globe each year with its unique peer-judged format and scoring with an emphasis on style, creativity and large manoeuvres.
