The V2 version of the Rocket has a bit less tail rocker, and a little less concave through the fins, creating a faster rail line under foot and Matt actually deepened the concave out of the tail as well. The soft wing helps retain quick transitions off the top of the wave and the bottom and give you plenty of control in the pocket. Matt says he moved the points of the diamond up a fraction and made the angle nearer to the Stealth's tail, but he hasn't finalized this 100%. The nose rocker is a little steeper in the last 12? (to balance out the shallower tail rocker and stop you from digging the nose) and the concave has been brought further forward (to compensate for the added nose rocker and also lengthen the rail line for more front-foot drive) to help with even faster out of the gates rides. The tail has been sculpted in a more pronounced way, adding a sniff of double concave under the back foot, as well as a low, square and boxy tail rail. Matt also made the nose a little wider in the 12-18" mark. Overall, an easier board to ride for the average surfer in typically sub par UK waves. It has way more down-the-line drive and a little less skateboard kick tail feel. The Rocket was and is still one of the most popular boards around the globe over the last 5 years. It's one of the most copied and ripped off surfboard models in recent history. So it's obviously worked brilliantly for thousands of surfers. Matt used feedback from the average Joe to update and refine an already excellent board. The original and legendary Rocket will always be available from Lost. The V2 doesn't replace the Rocket, it just compliments it! Over the last few years, more travelling pro surfers have returned to Lost for the Whiplash than any other surfboard model. Designed and constructed for precision high speed surfing. The board features low volume rails, a vee deck with a narrow nose and tail block combined with an aggressive rail rocker and deep concaves to keep it moving. The Whiplash is the most responsive and sensitive board that Lost make. This board is NOT recommended for below average surfers or for use in weak sloppy surf. Designed to be at it's most comfortable right in the pocket of steep waves from waist high to well over head. The weapon of choice for rippers and fast snappy surfers like Chris "Davo" Davidson, Andrew Doheny and Luke Davis. Back In 2010, Carissa Moore used an updated Whiplash to win two WT events (so far) and the US Open of Surfing. This retro looking board is one of Matt Biolos' personal favorites. "While surfing the mushy point and beach breaks of San Clemente, I'm always looking for a board that paddles easily, doesn't stall on the flat sections, carves the mush, and can still go vert and snap in the pocket". Taking influences from the jumbo wide tails of 1980's Laser Zap, the Blunt was designed around a modern thickness flow, rails, and bottom curves, but with an extra wide round tail to stay on top of the water. The outline at the nose is wide and curvy as well. The wide round tail encourages flowing turns and rolls tight in the pocket. The rocker is low throughout, but with an aggressive acceleration in the tail. The rail rocker is lower than the center line in the rear half, creating a radically deep concave and curvey rail line through the fins. This gives heaps of lift, and super fast tight arc'd turns out of the tail. The bottom rail is tucked all the way through the fins, so you can get it 'stuffed in' and it'll hold and not slide out. "Riding this board is the most fun I have ever had in typical waist to chest high Trestles surf. I couldn't recommend it more". http://www.boardshop.co.uk/brands/lost-surfboards.asp
http://video.mpora.com//watch/UvYk8qXqI http://video.mpora.com//watch/UvYk8qXqI Thu, 22 Mar 2012 12:09:04 +0000 Lost Blunt Review lost blunt,lost rnf,lost motivator,lost subscorcher,lost driver,lost surfboards,surfboard review,blunt,mayhem,taj,taj burrow,matt biolos,kholoe andino, boardshop lost blunt,lost rnf,lost motivator,lost subscorcher,lost driver,lost surfboards,surfboard review,blunt,mayhem,taj,taj burrow,matt biolos,kholoe andino, boardshop@mpora.com< Lost Subscorcher Review

The Lost Sub Scorcher (AKA The Trashcan Lid) "I wanna board for 1ft mush. Something really short n wide, but still a shortboard, something like Danes board" - Kolohe Andino. The challenge was laid down. Starting with an old SD2 We squashed the dimensions to 5ft 5 x 18.63 x 2.13, lowered the entry rocker and shallowed the concave through the center to straighten the rail line (for drive) and make it easier to lay such a wide platform over on a rail. Voila! Our stubbiest shortboard yet, but it still carves like a real board. Kolohe wanted to call it "The Trashcan Lid" because you don't need to go dumpster diving to get one of these! Shaper Matt Biolos reckons you should ride your Sub Scorcher 4-6 inches shorter than your performance shortboard. http://www.boardshop.co.uk/brands/lost-surfboards.asp For the Latest news and videos subscribe to our channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/BoardshopUK
http://video.mpora.com//watch/HRK1NP7hD http://video.mpora.com//watch/HRK1NP7hD Wed, 21 Mar 2012 08:36:09 +0000 Lost Subscorcher Review lost,lost surfboards,lost rnf,lost subscorcher,lost motivator,lost blunt,surfing,surfboards,mayhem,taj,taj burrow, boardshop lost,lost surfboards,lost rnf,lost subscorcher,lost motivator,lost blunt,surfing,surfboards,mayhem,taj,taj burrow, boardshop@mpora.com< Lost Rocket Review

A look at the super fast Lost Rocket.
