On Saturday October 18th, the Jellyfish landed at Casino Pier, New Jersey. After having to cancel the week before due to flatness, Mother Nature threw us some solid wind swell mixed up by groundswell from a passing hurricane. The mix-up of swell created some fun peaky surf all weekend long. Despite the cold weather, the waves had competitors ready to sign up at the crack of dawn. Here's how it all went down. VQS Goldfish Surf Series % Pismo Beach, Ca - 12/13/08

The second stop of the Goldfish Surf Series was absolutely nuts with some crazy weather and waves. A few days out we looked at the forecast and could hardly believe our eyes with reports calling for heavy rain and wind gusts up to 50 mph. In true VQS fashion we made the call to run anyway and prepared for the worst. Upon rolling up to the beach early Saturday morning, we were greeted with rain, wind and some real cold temperatures and quickly got to work zip tying the tents to the pier. Surprisingly the rain let up, the wind died down, and even the sun made a brief appearance. We ended up scoring some fun rippable waves all day and into the finals. On top of all that, the kids were going nuts keeping the energy on the beach up all day, even Santa made an early appearance taking over the mic and keeping everyone entertained.

VQS Seacow Surf Series % Sebastian Inlet, FL - 12/14/08

Once again we have lucked into good surf, good weather and good people for the Sebastian Inlet Seacow surf series event. Over 100 surfers from all over the state of Florida made their way to the Inlet for a ton of prizes and a chance to surf some fun waves at Sebastian Inlet's famed First Peak.

VQS Beaverfish Surf Series % Tofino, Canada - 11/08/08

Canada Eh? That's right were back in Canada for fourth annual Beaverfish Surf Series at North Chesterman's, Tofino. This is one of the most unique events on the VQS Tour and holding the contest in November you never know what to expect as far as weather goes. Music by: Kandi Coded.
