In the past 10 years, 7,000 American cyclists have lost their lives in accidents involving motorists. Dear Motorist is the campaign from Endevr to stop this number growing.

Launched late last year, the project is driven by the video featured above – a powerful short film featuring stories from those who have lost loved ones in motoring accidents, or have come close to losing their own lives on the road.

We often joke about the road war going on between motorists – particularly those pesky buses – and their cycling adversaries, but when you look at the actual statistics, it’s hard not to sit up and take note. Hopefully this campaign can help to save some lives.
