Alaskan Whale Breaches Just Metres From Land

Further proof that nature will always beat captivity

Fishing (or angling, if you insist) is a bit of an odd one for us, here at Mpora towers. The whole being outdoors, living off the land, at one with nature thing is superb. We love it. it’s what we’re all about. You know, that and really good falafel.

On the other hand, standing arse deep in a cold lake on the outskirts of Bolton, catching the same perch over and over again while a bloke that you’ve been calling Wazza for the last three years in lieu of knowing his real name tells you what he thinks about the Brexit sounds, well, kind of shit, doesn’t it.

So, when a fishing video lands in our laps, we open it with some trepidation. When the resulting video, shot in Alaska, shows an absolutely mammoth Whale breaching the surface of a cove on the Southern tip of Alaska, Wazza and his questionable views were quickly banished.

Just it back and enjoy nature at it’s finest.
