ASP 2011 World Champ: Carissa Moore

Carissa Moore has been crowned the ASP World Champ for 2011 after Sally Fitzgibbons lost to Steph Gilmore at the Roxy Pro in Biarritz! Not only has Carissa won the World title but she’s won it at the ago of 18, which is a first in male and female surfing history! With that accolade under her belt, I should remind you that she’s the first surfer to make every final in a season! Incredible huh?

After the news of Carissa winning had broken, Nike were right on the pulse and released this tribute video to the youngest women’s champ that shows off just how good she is!
Carissa had this to say at the Cotes Des Basques, “I dreamed of surfing at this level my whole life since I was a little kid and I don’t think you can ever expect or anticipate the feeling. It is amazing. There is no place I would rather be right now.”
