The “Most Insanely Dangerous GoPro Footage You’ve Ever Seen” Just Dropped From Obergurgl-Hochgurgl

You definitely wouldn't catch us heading down this run...

The glacier resort of Obergurgl-Hochgurgl have just dropped what they promise is “the most insanely dangerous GoPro footage you’ve ever seen”!

Now, we’ve seen some pretty gnarly GoPro footage in our time, so you know we’re not speaking lightly when we say that it’s pretty hard to argue with them. The footage below is terrifying.

Running an action sports and adventure website, we’ve seen all sorts of ski and snowboard clips that have come from a headcam. The likes of…

  • Cody Townsend dropping into ‘The Crack’ in Days of My Youth
  • Travis Rice shredding backcountry Alaska for The Fourth Phase

And of course, most commonly of all

  • Folk just going down relatively tame, well-pisted ski slopes, often green runs, who have uploaded their entire 15 minute run to YouTube.

The prospect of watching that final aforementioned clip is particularly scary, but none of the above hold a candle to the crazy Obergurgl footage that just dropped online. There’s a reason it’s going viral… Scroll down below to see the video!

Okay, so the reason it’s going viral is that it’s absolutely bonkers. But we did tell you it was crazy, didn’t we? We didn’t lie.

Through the bear, the soldiers, the UFO, the monsters and the – whatever the hell the thing in the picture below is – our favourite obstacle in all of this was still the washing machine around 40 seconds. Brilliant.

This isn’t the first time Obergurgl-Hochgurgl have gone a little loco on the mountain. Back in 2015 they released one of the funniest web cam resort videos we’ve seen to date. It involves wrecking balls and men in Y-fronts. Go on then:

The skiers and snowboarders of Obergurgl-Hochgurgl are always up for a laugh. Which is good, because when we went there last November, we couldn’t say the name of the resort to save ourselves. It’s lovely though. And it always has snow. Why not treat yourself to a trip this winter?
