Parkour

Jurassic Parkour is the Greatest Awful Video You’ll See This Year

...there's a reason this racked up nine million Facebook views in one day

In 1946 in Cincinatti, Ohio, a boy was born to an Orthodox Jewish family, and named Steven Allan Spielberg. Little did anyone know he was to inspire this parkour video.

His mother was a concert pianist, his father an electrical engineer. And all of them, of course, were dinosaur enthusiasts. Steven grew up in a house shaped like a giant T-Rex, with posters of Brontosaurus and Pterodactyls lining the inside of the right paw, which Steven was lucky enough to call home.

He grew up using his arms just like a T-Rex, inspired by the motivation and tenacity needed by the beasts to overcome everyday obstacles like showering and eating spaghetti hoops without fully functioning human arms.

By the age of eight he had found a new way to capture his love for dinosaurs; through film. Young Steven began to make 8mm home movies, remaking classics like ‘Casablanca’, ‘Gone With the Wind’ and ‘Snow White and the Seven Stegosaurus’.

The rest is well known history. Steven would grow up into a great filmmaker who would be respected by millions, get a tattoo of a Velociraptor on his forehead, a Triceratops on each tricep, change his middle name to “I f*cking love dinosaurs”, and in 1993, release Jurassic Park.

The film encapsulated everything about Steven; his fervour for dinosaurs, his wish that they would once again roam the Earth, and above all else, that Jeff Goldblum would finally be seen for what he was; the next Robert De Niro and the great actor of the 90s.

But it didn’t stop there. Because all along, ever since those days as a kid in the giant T-Rex house, Steven had one dream that he buried and told nobody – not until yesterday that is, when it hit the internet in all its glory.

Steven’s name may not be credited in the beautifully titled ‘Jurassic Parkour’ video below, but believe us when we say that we know a Spielberg production when we see one. May we present without further ado the pinnacle of the 53 year old career of Steven “I f*cking love dinosaurs” Spielberg.

…oh, and shoutout to Brentwood Photography and Reko Rivera for actually putting this together! Steve’s got nothing on these boys. Check out the original dino-madness here:
