Will This Smartphone App Change The Way You Take Ski Selfies Forever?

This #FirstWorldProblem busting app could be the must-have hack for next-level social media bragging

When you’re up a mountain, hooning around on the snow, gloves come in pretty handy. Things get pretty chilly without them. However, 80% of the reason we head to the slopes is to take pictures that will annoy our envious friends on social media, but cameras and gloves are not a happy combination.

Whether it’s your bulky mitts prohibiting you from pressing the fiddly little shutter button, or your gloves blocking the magic that flows from your hands to your smartphone’s touchscreen, gloves get in the way.

One solution is to take your gloves off, but who wants to risk frostbite (or, more likely, having a cold paw for 30 seconds)? But now, thanks to a new smartphone app, you can not only take pictures, but also share them on social media with your hands remain cosily clamped inside their glovey home.

NosePost allows users to operate their phone with their nose – a bit of the body that often remains exposed while on the piste. With just a couple of taps of the schnoz, you can slap that alpine selfie right in your office-bound friends faces.

While it’s gratifying to know that weighty first world problems like this are being solved, we cant help but feel that NosePost isn’t ideal for the more bearded chaps out there. As any facially hirsute chap (or lady for that matter) who enjoys a bit of snow will confirm, a moustache can get pretty wet and snotty when in the cold.

As such, if you want to keep your new phone mucus free, you may be back to risking your fingers and going gloveless if you want to capture that perfect Kodak moment.
