Rab's core athletes describe the motivations and consequences of their dedication to the mountains...

Have you ever considered how much effort it takes to really call yourself an elite adventure athlete?

Aside from being in amazing physical and mental shape in order to take on their massive feats, athletes also have to mange to find the time to train, travel and compete throughout the year.

In order to get a look into the life of an athlete, Rab have made a series of short films focusing on the commitment their core athletes put into to staying at the top.

These films join Libby Peter, Tom Randall, Greg Boswell and Mel Bernier on their adventures to get inside their head.

“We explore what it means to commit to something that is so absorbing it transforms your life, and how that level of commitment is dealt with by those for whom it means so much,” say the filmmakers at Rab.

“For many people the mountains and an outdoor life are all encompassing, embracing training and ambition with community and culture. For some it’s about balancing work with play, or home life with a desire to explore the limits of what is possible both physically and mentally.”

The four films with be divided into different athletes facing different pressures of the adventrue lifestyle, starting with climber Libby Peter, who explores the theme of devotion.
