Sochi 2014: Men’s Ski Cross Final Gallery

A French 1-2-3 after Brady Leman crashes out

One of the men’s Ski Cross quarterfinals literally couldn’t have been closer after there was a three way photo finish. With a huge final kicker, three riders were down and crossed the line almost simultaneously.

In the final, Brady Leman of Canada fought bravely against a French trio. But he fell at the final corner, allowing the French for a clean sweep.

Spotting an opportunity for Gold in front of his compatriots, Jonathan Midol took off the final kicker as if he was contesting for the Ski Jump. Unsurprisingly, he didn’t land, but it didn’t matter – he made the Bronze after sliding across the line, with Arnaud Bovolenta in Silver and Jean Frederic Chapuis in the Gold. Viva la France – ski cross superpower!
