This Guy Looks Down On Normal Cyclists… From The ‘Tallest Rideable Bike’ Ever Built

What's 20ft tall, made from metal, takes away your Christmas and has a tool on top?

So this is a bike called: ‘Stoopidtaller’. It’s 20ft 2.5″ tall and while you probably wouldn’t take it to the shops, it actually is rideable.

The bike was recognised as the tallest in the world on boxing day last year – because nothing you’ve achieved in life is legitimate until Guinness say so – and the man behind it, Richie Trimble, has just released a film showing the building of the beast.

What strikes us is the dedication that this dude has shown in his quest to enter the record books. And not in a good way either – more in a creepily obsessive way that makes your family well up and scream: “just take a goddamn shower for everyone’s sake”.

Seriously, this guy actually worked through Christmas Day. While he was grafting away, we were feasting on turkey and trying to work out that our aunt’s interpretive dance moves were actually a poor attempt to act out ‘The Wind in the Willows’ in charades.

Fair play to young Richie though. He got the job done, then made a dramatic, very American, video about it that ends with an emotional quote to inspire future, err, giant bike builders.

The footage is well worth a watch if for nothing other than the big bike riding, so hit the clip and let us know what you think!
