Dropping | Vittorio Brumotti Cycles Up and Down Super Steep, 154ft-High Terrazas del Portezuelo Building in Argentina

...some places were never meant for bicycles, and this is one of them

Vittorio Brumotti; the trials cyclist with 10 world records to his name and an inability to define the word ‘fear’.

The Andrea Pirlo lookalike has got up to all sorts of anarchy in the past few years, taking Martyn Ashton’s freestyle road bike party format and making it his own.

Vit’s world records include everything from hurdling on his back wheel to jumping 17m into the ocean, jumping between trucks and scaling the tallest tower in the world on his bike in less than two and a half hours.

So you know when he got inspired by Martyn Ashton, he was going to make some special stuff, and that’s exactly how it panned out.

Brumotti has done everything from riding on treadmills and swimming pools to cruising on the top of planes to riding rails above 65ft drops and all sorts of other freestyle road bike madness.

Now? The man is back with another daring challenge, and it’s yet more footage from the Italian filled with equal parts terror and thrill.

Old Brum has taken it upon himself to ride up and down the roof of the Terrazas del Portezuelo building in San Luis, Argentina, which happens to be 154ft/six-stories tall, in what it surely the closest thing to parkour on a pushbike.

One of the toughest climbs in road cycling history? One thing is for sure anyway, you’re not going to get a stage on the Tour de France that makes the riders hop like this…
