World Champion Road Cyclist Peter Sagan Re-Enacts “You’re the One That I Want” Scene in Bizarre Tribute to ‘Grease’

...we're not sure why this exists, but we're incredibly happy it does

Stop what you’re doing. If you’re halfway through cooking a meal; let it burn. If you’re holding a small child; Drop it on the floor. This is more important.

A video has emerged of road cycling world champion Peter Sagan re-enacting the entire “You’re the One That I Want” scene from iconic 1978 musical ‘Grease’. Yes, we’re being serious; costumes, dancing, lip-syncing and all. It’s glorious.

As for why it exists, your guess is as good as ours. We know it’s an advert for health food brand Sun Root, who sponsor the Slovakian in his native country, but we’re struggling to see how their brand or Sagan link to ‘Grease’ or Danny Zuko in any manner.

Regardless, we couldn’t be happier that it exists. Sagan has gone full-on Travolta, minus the Scientology. We’re talking the hair, the shoes, the socks, the jacket, the moves. It’s genuinely one of the greatest cycling videos we’ve ever seen:

Now, if forcing pro cyclists to recreate famous scenes from random movies is going to be a thing, we’re desperate to get involved.

So, we went on a sketchy site we found on Google that brings up a movie star lookalike when you put in a mug shot and took it from there. Here are who some of the most famous riders in the world – apparently – look like, and subsequently, who we reckon they should play.

We would pay at least the price of a cinema ticket to see some of these:

Chris Froome plays Matt Damon’s Will Hunting in ‘Good Will Hunting’ – a 64% match

Sir Chris Hoy plays William Sadler’s Colonel Stuart in ‘Die Hard 2’ – a 29% match

…but Hoy also only matched 54% with, err, himself, so this may not be all that reliable

Sir Bradley Wiggins plays Steve Carell’s Brick Tamland in ‘Anchorman’ – a 10% match

Mark Cavendish plays Ryan Reynolds’ Hal Jordan/Green Lantern in ‘Green Lantern’ – a 22% match

Danny MacAskill plays Freddie Prinze Jr.’s Fred in ‘Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed” – apparently a 94% match

Lance Armstrong plays The Wicked Witch of the West in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ – 100% match

…okay, so we might have made this last one up. Sorry Lance.
