While Kelly Slater (USA), 39, clinched his unprecedented 11th ASP World Title today by defeating Daniel Ross (AUS), 28, in Round 3 of Rip Curl Pro Search San Francisco competition, several banner performances also went down at Ocean Beach in the firing three-to-five foot (1 metre) beachbreak conditions.
