The fastest speed skiing backwards is 128.7 kmh (79.97 mph) achieved by Anders Backe (Norway) at the Vikersund Skiflying slope, Vikersund, Norway, on 21 February 2012.
Backe used Head Caddy park skis, Tyrolia Mojo 18 bindings, Head Raptor Project RS boots, Leki Rodeo poles and his own "Anders Backe Signature Line" of clothing from Bergans of Norway.
