In a script that couldn't have been written, Mel Pocock put all his effort into trying to clinch the Maxxis British MX2 Championship. Despite all his efforts Mel was unable to beat Elliot, but still took the runner up position in the championship. Mel's teammate Shaun Simpson put on his best performance and took the overall win after coming 2nd to Strijbos in the MX1 championship.
