Salty Beards x Surfing with the Homeless

The original plan for SaltyBeards.com was to try and help out our local homeless community. We started off by donating 10% of our online store sales towards clothing the homeless. After a few months we've gained great support from people all over the world. Now we have been able to increase the donations to 25%. More recently Salty Beards spent a day in Venice Beach California. We met a man named John who was living on the streets. He see's people surfing everyday but never had the opportunity of trying to catch a few waves for himself. Until now. We rented him a board, gave him some new boardshorts and pushed him into a couple waves. He was beyond thrilled. It was a great experience for both of us. We spent the rest of the afternoon clothing any homeless we came across. Stoked faces all around. See more at www.SaltyBeards.com
