The first of its kind, the burn Style Sessions brought a little old school flair to the Air & Style contest, which will celebrate its 20th Anniversary on Feb 3rd in Innsbruck. Snow legends Terje Haakonsen, David Benedek and Gigi Rüf returned to competition snowboarding for the event, along with Stefan Gimpl who is the only rider to have won three consecutive Air & Style titles. "I don't think anyone ever thought they'd see these guys compete again," said Arthur Longo (burn). "It's like a piece of history.
In the end, it was Marko Grilc's Frontside 540 Indy which secured him first place in the contest and the cache of being the world's first burn Style Session winner. 25-year-old burn rider Werni Stock finished a close 2nd. Thomas Eberharter rounded out the podium spots.
