10Jeep Original Freedom: Snowboard Teaser
The roaring engines of the PBRJ awaked the Valcamonica last sunday on their way to Borno, the first italian PBRJ stop.
They arrived just in time to park their choppers under the snow, coming down the beautifull set up built up by the guys at the Play Park.
Tents were up and ready to sign in more than 100 bikers. We started with the 16+ division, the busiest as usual, with two qualifying jams that heated up the rails. Soon 10 riders were out of the pack and got to ride again in the finals later in the day.
And we all know that where bikers are, the girls are too. Tough girls, ready to rock, or should we say ready to shred the metal, for sure having enough to stay in the back seat. The level was high and the very first best tricks have been thrown by them while the BBQ started to crackle, and soon our famous delicioius hot dogs were ready.
And this is the very only case that moms told their under 15 year old kids to go ride first before eating. The teens final has been great despite the numbers of riders, but tons of tricks went down but with this particular trend fo grabbing their boards at the very top of the "rainbow".The snow continued to fall also during the afternoon making the run up to the rails a bit too slow but not enough to stop the pro ams who in turn started to destroy the entire set up. Switch stance has been the leit motiv of the day and from there it's not so strange that the "gooyest move" would have been an " half cab hard way 270 in" thrown by our frined Stefano Benchimol. But in the end of the day winners have to be crowned and rewarded on the beautiful terrace of the Play Park with a sun struggling to face among the flakes.
A special thanks to Play Park staff, our friends & sponsors Electric, Nitro, Union Bindings, Coca Cola, Burn and UV control. Big up for our personal motivator Marchino ( Marco Sala), our speaker Fumaz, Luca at the BBQ, our filmer Andrea Pessa Boy Pessani and and Andrea Piu, the photographer Roberto Benis, Faggio and the Bonk Shop, Maica and Silvia at the desk and to all of you who came join us in this beautiful day on the snow. See you at the next stop in Ovindoli march 3rd.
