Directed by Danny Heaton, Andy Smith & Peter McBride Produced by Craghoppers The critically endangered mountain gorilla is one of our closest relatives in the animal kingdom. Only two populations remain, one of which is found in East Africa’s Virunga Mountains - a chain of volcanoes straddling the treacherous border between Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. Since Dian Fossey first pioneered mountain gorilla conservation here in 1967, many more people have risked their lives to protect a species that is now bringing education, life and hope to communities in Rwanda and beyond. This fi lm explores the incredible work of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International.
