Mick Hannah takes on the 50ft gap and wins. Brought in conjunction with Flow Mountain Bike Magazine.
If you've ridden the Thredbo downhill track before you've undoubtedly cruised down the Eagles Way fireroad, probably doing your best to keep your wheels on the ground. Not so Mick Hannah. The top two waterbars on this fireroad are about 50 feet apart, the runout is loose and rutted. No one has attempted to double them up since Nathan Rennie and Andrew Mills back in (approx) 2001. Mick's been thinking about giving it a go for 12 years. It only took him two runs to commit and huck it. Our favourite part is Tracey Hannah's scream!
