The Black Yeti came back for the third time in Monte Bondone, Italy, for the 2014 edition of the Trentino Rookie Fest, a double event with both slopestyle and halfpipe competitions. The event used the same infrastructures of the latest “Winter Universiadi” which hosted hundreds of freestyler from all over the world. 68 riders from 10 nations joined the event and enjoyed the beauty of Trentino both on the snow than in the city of Trento. “Monte Bondone wanted strongly to upgrade the Trentino Rookie Fest and this is why we decided to add a slopestyle contest in the program” stated Marco Sampaoli, WSF President and event organizer. “with a program including halfpipe and slopestyle contest, night session, visit in Trento historical downtown, italian food, final party and film premiere this event is a perfect example of the rookie fest events format: we don’t offer only contest but life and travel experiences.” Marco continued.
