2011 Water/Wo/Men Event- Laamu, Maldives
Legendary surfers, windsurfers, and kitesurfers to divers and free divers offered clinics and shared their passion to Six Senses Laamu guests. Conservationists led riveting dialogues and debates on the most pressing marine and drinking water issues facing our planet. This fundraiser raised funds for three charities, http://www.watercharity.org, http://www.plantafish.org and http://www.bluemarine.org. Pro watermen include Buzzy Kerbox, Bethany Hamilton, Layne Beachley, Pascal Bronnimann, Alex Caizergues, Takuji Masuda, Jake Miller, Tripoli Paterson, Mark Shinn, Levi Siver, Keith Teboul, Terry Simms, Anna Von Boetticher and Duncan Zuur. Some of the conversationalists that attended were Jon Bowermaster, Fabien Cousteau, Daryl Hannah, Prahlad Kakar, Shekhar Kapur, Averill Strasser, Michaela Merten and Jim Thebaut.
