The new Lost Mini Driver. While preparing a for an Indo trip Kolohe asked for a short, fast and flat rockered little barrel buster for his quiver. Matt recommended the Rock-Up, but Kolohe felt it had more tail rocker than he wanted and needed something really quick for late drops into the tube with heaps of speed to make it from way back deep. Matt started with a 6ft Driver, took note of the nose rocker and outline measurements at 4" and 16" back from the tip, then he shrunk the board to a 5ft 8 and lowered the nose rocker at the tip and 12" back till it matched the 4" and 16" from before. Matt widened the nose until it matched up the same way. This produced a screaming fast low nose rocker with a forward placed outline, both of which produce amazing amounts of drive. The tail was then rounded off, but left the width the same. This gave a very clean, elliptical outline that would feel nice and loose inside the barrel. The Mini Driver performed as everyone hoped. Interestingly enough, one of Kolohe's mates (Taylor Clark) borrowed it when hecame back from Indo and used it in the US Nationals at Huntington Beach. He surfed it in 2ft slop all the way to a second place in the Open Men's division. The board worked in everything!
