Talk about disappearing down the video rabbit hole and coming out the other side. Slope Views is a company that's cool beyond cool. Slope Views shoots video with an 11-lens spherical camera. The video is recorded onto separate hard drives and stitched together digitally to create an interactive 360-degree video--which means you can look at a ski resort trail map--and ski or snowboard the map online in any direction or location you want. You can look up or down the slope, to the sides of the trail, you can look at the trail from the lift--it's all one hell of a ride. The technology for the user is mouse click & drag--unless you have the special glasses that let you see the scene right in front of your eyes and change direction merely by moving your head one way or the other. Jack me into the matrix, dude. This is so William Gibson. But without the violence or Keanu Reeves.
