The Peruvian surfer Gabriel Villaran surprised us once again. We saw him last surfing giant waves in the ocean and wining the ISA World Surfing Games with the Peruvian team. But this time was something different. Recently the 26-year-old surfer accomplished a new feat when he traveled to the town of Cusipata in Cusco, and with the valuable support of the renowned kayaker Leonardo Gonzales, was able to surf the waves of the Vilcanota River. These waves are created along the river due to the water currents and rock formations.
