Amplid: Shred Recipes Part 2: R&D;

Today Amplid ::: next level riding released the much anticipated second episode of the Amplid Shred Recipes series. This seven minute episode explores ski and snowboard material and geometry R&D;at Amplid, and the constant juggling act between performance, weight and durability. From turning a very rough concept into a working prototype, the R&D;process at Amplid is a constant cycle, with the Cartel Team constantly feeding back on Peter and Anian’s designs and innovations.

From Anian creating the first shape drafts in a CAD program to Peter scouring the planet for new materials and commissioning prototypes from the Amplid factory for team testing; to be ahead of the competition requires an endless cycle of ideas, innovation and research. Amplid Shred Recipes is a three part video series which gives an insight into Peter’s and Anian’s quest to create the best skis and snowboards on the planet and shows how at Amplid the two disciplines really fertilize one and other.
