Xcorps Surf Shooters - Lost And Found seg.1 - This is the first of a series of new Xcorps segments featuring the Shooters of Surf or the photographers and film makers that have contributed in their own creative and historic ways to the sport of Surfing!
This segment features film maker Doug Walker and his surf history film Lost and Found which happened when Doug found a large collection of Sufmer Magazine negatives at a California swap meet!
On camera host Jason Lazo reports from Santa Monica at the Lost and Found film premier held at the plush Red Bull theatre at the national headquarters for Red Bull. Xcams rolled with Jason talking with surf shooter legend Dan Merkel about the L/F film. See what Doug has to say and what camera he shoots with now!
Stay tuned for part 2 of the Surf Shooter series with Jason talking with X Dance director/executive producer Eric Barrett about the action sports film festival X DANCE held every year in SLC Utah during the Sundance film fest. X Dance is just one big X SPORTS FILMS BloWouT! Stay tuned for future Xcorps episodes from this gig!
Music: This Xcorps special presentation features the surf tuned sound from the San Diego Sunset Cliffs surf band The Naked Ones. Xcorps host Bob Woodard brought this band to the Xcorps many years ago and the fit is still right with the song Mirror rolling behind the BW still surf shots by Dan Merkel! Very nice! These tones of BW are not digital folks! The real stuff! Thanks to A-Frame Media for great examples of Dans work.
Stay tuned for: Xcorps Special Surf Shooters Series #1.) LOST and FOUND seg.2
