Munich is bidding for the X Games 2013-2015

From 2013 onward ESPN (the organizer) plans to add two new locations to supplement the Summer and Winter X Games in the United States, eventually ending up with three global summer and three global winter events. When ESPN approached the State capital of Munich and the Ministry of Education and Sport (represented by the Office for Sports) for the first time in the summer of 2011 as a possible candidate city for the 2013-2015 X Games, it quickly became clear that for this unique event there could only be one suitable location in Munich: the Olympic Park.
