The world’s biggest wakeboarding and wakeskating event O’Neill Wake The Line held the Freestyle Wakeboard Worlds and took place at Cologne’s legendary “Stadionbad” outdoor swimming. On June 18th 2011 the planet’s leading wakeboarders and wakeskaters competed at an impressive set-up: with three Olympic-size swimming pools, extraordinary obstacles and a sophisticated two-mast cable lift system, the event came up with the most spectacular freestyle wakeboard setting in the world.
In wakeboarding German wonderboy Nico von Lerchenfeld took the victory, upsetting fellow Liquid Force rider Shawn Watson (USA) and Keith Lidberg (USA), who got second and third place.
In wakeskating 13-year old Daniel Grant from Thailand amazed everyone when he first hit the course. He turned into the ultimate wakeskating machine and bagged the first place! Second place went to last year’s winner Jan Kissmann (GER), who got followed by Andy Kolb (GER).
