In Purity geht es um Sport als Leidenschaft. Und mehr noch um die Sportler. Ohne diese Menschen zu glorifizieren, wird nach der Motivation gefragt, die Sportler antreibt, gefrorene Wasserfälle hochzuklettern, Steilhänge mit Ski zu befahren usw. Der Film versucht Antworten darauf zu geben, warum sich diese Menschen auch immer wieder in existenzielle Gefahren begeben. Eine höchst intensive Dokumentation.
