As predicted we were blessed with sunshine and clean virgin slopes this morning. I started my day at Brevent, slightly later than desired so by the time i reached the bottom of the Planpraz bubble, I was frothing to get in amongst it.
The clock had just struck 9.30am and to my surprise the Col Cornu (which gives access to the majority of the epic riding at Brevent) had just opened and just a few chairs had gone up ahead of me. The mountain was untracked heaven. The snow was fresh, but slightly windblown creating a modest crust that created a mellow crunching sound when plowed through. After tracking out the Chamois, and the La Charlanon with my gang, it was time to hit Flegere.
Flegere was like my morning all over again. They had only just opened the pomma when we arrived that gives access to the Floria bowl and there was plenty of fresh lines to be scored. All in all another massive day of snowboarding in Chamonix!
