Launched back in 2006, Full Tilt brought about the revival of skiing’s three-piece boot based on the ethos that ‘comfort is performance’. Fifteen years later, a quick scan of skier’s feet in the park pays testament to their strategy’s success.

Full Tilt Soul Sister 100 Build

The Soul Sister 100 is constructed from a shell, spine, and tongue piece. Full Tilt swear by this three-piece construction because of the benefits afforded to the boot’s flex.

Operated by an oversized cuff pivot and enhanced by the ribbed tongue, the boot’s shell flexes infinitely with your ankle joints to accommodate your lower leg’s full range of movement. In doing so, Full Tilt eliminate the shell distortion and your leg’s discomfort provoked when traditional boots are confronted with high impact. The beauty of Full Tilts is their adjustable flex. A 100 flex tongue instils the Soul Sister 100 with great all-mountain versatility. But if you’re anticipating thumping landing after landing in the park, switch the tongue for a 90, or alternatively, insert a 120 flex tongue if you want to shred groomers hard and fast.

The Soul Sister 100’s shell has a wider and lower boot cuff specifically designed to fit women. It also features a roomier toe box than Full Tilt’s original shells (this will come as a relief to those who can’t usually feel their toes in restrictive boots).

A J-bar in the heel pocket anchors your heels to the back of the boot, which you’ll be thankful for on high-impact park days to prevent heel slip and dreaded toe-bang. Full Tilt’s widetrack buckles, the cable looking devices snaking across the boot, evenly distribute pressure on the front of your foot to eliminate buckle burn and pressure points.

Thanks to a memory foam Pro Wrap liner, the Soul Sister 100 offers a warm, cushioned, and personalised fit, and both the liner and shell are heat mouldable. Plus, the boot’s tongue piece opens at a 90-degree angle, which makes slipping your feet into the Soul Sister 100 a walk in the park.

Who Is The Full Tilt Soul Sister 100 For?

Thanks to its progressive flex, memory foam liner, and fully retractable tongue, the Soul Sister 100 is as close to a slipper as ski boots get. For skiers seeking ultimate comfort and practicality, this boot is a winner.

As a result, the Soul Sister 100 is an equally great option for intermediate skiers fed up with waiting until the end of their holiday for comfortable boots, as it is for professional freestyle athletes.
