Danny MacAskill Returns | Scottish Star Takes Trial Skills to Scenic Swiss Trails

Danny teams up with Swiss legend Claudio Caluori for a ride through Graubünden

It’s fair to say that at this point Danny MacAskill is the undisputed king of the cycling video.

He’s the one guy Bill at work brings up everytime you talk about mountain biking, no matter how many times you’ve tried to tell him that you, nor any one of your friends (unless you are a friend of the big man, of course) can come remotely close to doing what MacAskill does.

For most people that fact is mainly true because most people in the bike world don’t ride trials, and moreover, most people in the bike world would be crazy to follow in Danny M’s footsteps even if they did.

But MacAskill’s latest release is a little different.

Shot out of Graubünden, Switzerland, the Scottish superstar’s new video will leave you drooling to get over to the Swiss region and desperate to follow where Danny’s wheels have been, down the beautiful trails.

That said, you might not want to ride the exact same line as MacAskill.

Danny does add in some typically hair-raising bridge lines, step-down rotations and front flips (to concrete), but we can guarantee it will get you buzzing to ride the same lines as his partner in crime on the video – none other than Swiss legend Claudio Caluori.

Claudio, while obviously a world class mountain biker, is probably the viewer’s real point of reference in this video as he tries to keep up with MacAskill, but the real star of the video (well, actually, that’s probably still Danny, and then Claudio, but a very close third…) are the trails themselves.

Flowing from what look like tasty forest lines to hand-burning rock lines and open-facing trails with spectacular mountain views, Graubünden, Switzerland will no doubt be joining a whole lot of bucket lists.

That’s the Danny MacAskill effect for you. Good job by the team in Graubünden for getting Danny over. Danny’s as impressive in front of the camera as ever, and any day with a new Danny MacAskill video is a good day to be at your laptop – and to inspire you to get back on your bike.
